The new Silent Brick system combines NVMe performance, HDD efficiency, high scalability
and true air gap.
The slot-based Controller X accommodates up to 8 Silent Brick Pro each with up to 96 TB (gross)
and can be expanded with Silent Brick Max to more than 6 petabytes (gross) total capacity.
Backup and recovery.
Silent Brick Pro and Silent Brick Max enable even shorter backup windows, ultra-fast recovery and optimal scalability. For Veeam users, Fast Clone Support provides even better performance with significantly less capacity required.
Single node S3.
NVMe-equipped Silent Brick Pro and state-of-the-art system architecture enable performance values comparable to expensive multi-node configurations when used as S3-compatible object storage. Saves costs. Saves space.
Active VTL Archive.

Staying compatible.
If you already have a Silent Brick system (G-Series) in use, we make the transition extremely easy for you: existing Silent Brick Max can be used directly on X-Series controllers, retaining all the data stored on them. This means you can immediately enjoy the benefits of the new controller generation without time-consuming data migration.
By separating the controller and Silent Brick storage media, you benefit from long-term compatibility despite the latest technology.
The new Silent Brick system
The Silent Brick system is based on the principle of separation of the controller – the management unit – and the storage media. This means that both areas can be updated and exchanged independently without data loss or migration.
System Control Center:
The new Controller X.
The new Controller X is the heart of the Silent Brick system. All components are carefully assembled and designed for decades of continuous operation. Critical components are redundant. We use our hardened LINUX operating system, which provides no gateways for malware and attacks.
The controller can be equipped with fixed and mobile memory modules. It has up to 8 slots for Silent Brick Pro and SAS ports for connecting the stationary Silent Brick Max.
The individual configuration allows connection to your infrastructure.

The new Silent Brick Pro.
Equipped with 12 super-fast NVME SSDs, data transfer rates of up to 6 GB/s are possible with the Silent Brick Pro. This makes it ideal for daily incrementals and allows virtual machines to start directly from backup during recovery.
The Silent Brick Pro is available in gross capacities from 12 to 96 TB – volumes can also be spread across multiple media.
The ZFS-based SecureNAS with triple parity is used to protect against data loss.

The Silent Brick Max.
Equipped with 12 hard drives in 3.5-inch format, the Silent Brick Max offers the best balance between high capacity and low storage cost – ideal for long-term full backups and as a destination for backup archives.
The Silent Brick Max is available in gross capacities of 48, 96 and 240 TB per height unit, which of course can be combined as desired.
In addition to SecureNAS with triple parity, linear erasure coding with 4 redundancies can also be used for particularly high security.
Silent Brick Max, including existing data, can be transferred from G-Series systems.

Compact and lightweight for a true air gap:
The Silent Brick Pro.
A true air gap, where data is not simply stored on another storage system, but on a medium physically separated from the system, is the “last line of defense” for your backup.
What was previously only possible with tape is now possible with the super-fast, compact Silent Brick Pro. Up to 96 TB (gross) in a rugged enclosure weighing just over 500g – and random access at top speed if needed.
This allows data to be quickly and securely deleted, safely stored or transported over long distances.
