With the new Silent Brick Pro and the new Controller X, we have developed a completely new architecture to get the best performance from the individual components.
The Controller X is based on the latest PCIe Gen4 architecture, includes a high-performance multi-core CPU and allows connection to up to 100G Ethernet.
Each Silent Brick Pro contains 12 generation 4 NVMe modules, which are 13x faster than SATA SSDs like those in the Silent Brick Plus.
This results in an incredible constant data rate of 6 GB/sec under real-world conditions. 100 TB can thus be transferred in about 6 hours – about 6 times faster than in the Silent Brick system with Silent Brick Plus.
As S3 object storage, this results in just under 2 GB/sec – a top value for a single-node system. The Silent Brick Max also takes advantage of the modern architecture and offers about double the previous performance on the X6080 controller.
Veeam Ready with support for Fast Clone.
Silent Brick Pro and Silent Brick Max are not only fully certified for the latest Veeam version, but also benefit from Fast Clone Support, which accelerates and significantly reduces backup and recovery times.

The Silent Brick Pro accommodates up to 96 TB in the space of a postcard, with a height of only 3 cm. The 8-slot X6080 controller can store up to 768 TB on 2 height units – all fully NVMe. Is that a world record?
But not all storage has to be NVMe. With the Silent Brick Max, another 240 TB is available per height unit. Up to 26 units can be managed per Controller X, resulting in a total capacity of up to 7 petabytes per Controller Pro – on just 30 height units*.
*Two SAS switches are required to connect 26 Silent Brick Max.

Data protector.
With the new Silent Brick System, your data is safely protected from loss and manipulation. Our Zero Loss principle protects against the consequences of a cyber attack, from the effects of defective components to the loss of an entire site, and also provides up to 10 years of protection through our CARE maintenance contract.
Added to this is the guaranteed backward compatibility. This means that Silent Brick Max memory modules can easily be transferred directly from existing Silent Brick systems (G Series), including all data. Data on Silent Brick Plus and Air can be easily transferred via replication or copying.
Focus on sustainability.
Eco-Pro.
The Silent Brick Pro is designed to be as sustainable as possible in all aspects of development and production. This starts with production, where we carefully select all components and, when in doubt, favor the more sustainable option. Through local sourcing and regional production, we can keep delivery routes short, which also improves availability.
NVMe modules do not consume power in “idle” mode and are therefore more energy-efficient than systems with hard drives that need constant operation. But our HDD-based Silent Brick Max also helps save energy. Depending on the application, individual storage units can be completely put into standby mode when not in use. Optimized cooling and high packing density reduce the amount of cooling required in the data center. This dramatically lowers energy consumption.
Full data protection.
A good combination.
Our storage systems can be perfectly combined with each other. You can easily move Silent Brick Max from existing Silent Brick systems to a Controller Pro, without migration, without risk. You can continue to use Silent Brick Plus and Air as pure air gap media or replicate the data to new media in the Pro system.
To reduce the load on your backups, remove unstructured data, such as from file servers, from data backup and back up using an active archive. With Silent Cubes, we offer perhaps the most secure storage system with true WORM sealing.
